As he shared in a personal email, he initially learned the Chabad method, using all Techeiles winds. Later, after discovering the Teimani method (also all Techeiles winds), he adopted it, finding it both neat and halachically sound.

More recently, Rabbi Twerski adopted yet another approach—the style of the standard GR”A using Rav Amram Gaon’s chulyos pattern —after studying a piece by Rabbi Yitzchok Brand that highlighted the reasoning behind this method.
