Head and founder of Machon Hamikdash. He has always been a proponent of Murex Tekhelet and believes it is the authentic one, however, he leans towards the Tifferet Yisrael’s notion the any fast blue dye would be kosher. Therefore he is not opposed to wearing Radzyn Tekhelet. All the beggadim at Machon Hamikdash though, are from Murex.

His son is Rav Shmuel Ariel who has written extensively in favor of Murex Tekhelet.
