From mizrachi.org:

Rav Yosef Zvi Rimon is an internationally acclaimed “posek” of Halacha, author, educator, and lecturer. Individuals and communities from around the globe turn to him regarding complex questions in Halacha, the responses of which have been pivotal in helping shape the contemporary Jewish world.

Through his book series, Halacha MiMekora, Rav Rimon has become known worldwide for developing an innovative methodology for teaching Halacha, taking the reader from the sources to the practical application of Halacha in our modern reality within the framework of a user-friendly, pedagogical methodology.

Rav Rimon is Rosh Yeshiva of Lev Academic Center (JCT), as well as the community rabbi of Alon Shvut South.

For Rav Rimon, innovation in Torah and Chessed come hand in hand.

He is Founder and Chairman of Sulamot, which develops cutting-edge educational technologies, experiential Jewish programming, and innovative curricula for Judaic studies, taught in five languages in hundreds of schools around the world.

Rav Rimon is also Founder and Chairman of JobKatif (recently re-branded as La’Ofek), originally established to help the former residents of Gush Katif, and now develops an array of employment-based projects aimed at rehabilitating sidelined populations in Israel, including Ethiopian-Israelis, needy soldiers and discharged lone soldiers, and youth at risk.

In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Rav Rimon was awarded the Katz Prize in 2018 for the application of Halacha in modern society, the President’s Prize for Volunteerism in 2008, and the Moskowitz Prize for Zionism in 2014 for his revolutionary Chessed initiatives.

Rav Rimon is married to Rabbanit Sharon, a highly accomplished educator and scholar in her own right, and is the father of eight girls.

From Haim Brandspiegel (May 17, 2023):

“I emailed him about five years ago when I was told he started wearing tekhelet. I asked whose sheeta he follows. He responded pretty quickly- Rambam.

He was a scholar in residence in Young Israel of Woodmere less than a year ago and was definitely wearing it.”

From Rafi Hecht:

I recently met R’ Rimon when he was speaking in Toronto on Shabbos. He was wearing all white on his plain, black striped Tallis Gadol and Techeiles on his Tallis Kattan. I asked him his reasoning, and he explained the following:

1. He doesn’t want to tell people what to do by him setting an example wearing it on a Tallis Gadol. He wants people to do what they want.

2. When Shma reads Ureisem Oso Uzchartem, when do you wear your Tallis? In Shul. And when you’re in Shul you’re reminded anyway to do Mitzvos, but outside the Shul it’s less obvious.

Regarding 1, I told him that if he looks around, people are doing what they want anyway, which he agreed.

Regarding 2, I reserve comment.

I asked R’ Rimon if in the near future he sees himself wearing it on his Tallis Gadol, he replied, maybe.
