R’ Rappaport was one of the people that started the whole process going. It began when he allowed a shed in his Yeshiva to be used as an initial facility to dye Tekhelet before Ptil’s eventual move to Kfar Adumim. Without him it’s hard to say if the rest would be wearing Techeiles today.
