נתיבות עולם נתיב אהבת ריע פרק א ותמצא בחבור עין יעקב בהקדמת הכותב שמצא בחבור מדרש אחד וז”ל, בן זומא אומר מצינו פסוק כולל יותר והוא שמע ישראל וגו’. בן ננס אומר מצינו פסוק כולל יותר והוא ואהבת לרעך כמוך. שמעון בן פזי אומר מצינו פסוק כולל יותר והוא את הכבש האחד תעשה בבוקר וגו’. עמד ר’ פלוני על רגליו ואמר הלכה כבן פזי דכתיב ככל אשר אני מראה אותך את תבנית המשכן וגו’.
English Translation
And you will find in the work Ein Yaakov, in the introduction of the author, that he found in a certain Midrashic work, and these are its words:
Ben Zoma says: We have found a more inclusive verse, and it is Shema Yisrael… (Devarim 6:4).
Ben Nanas says: We have found a more inclusive verse, and it is Ve’ahavta lere’acha kamocha (Vayikra 19:18).
Shimon ben Pazi says: We have found a more inclusive verse, and it is Es hakeves ha’echad ta’aseh vaboker… (Bamidbar 28:4).
A certain Rabbi stood on his feet and said: The halacha follows Ben Pazi, as it is written: Kechol asher ani mareh oscha es tavnis hamishkan… (Shemos 25:9).
