Swiped from the Vatican (https://digi.vatlib.it/view/MSS_Urb.lat.1), a latin Bible from 1476. This is the Shlach part of Tzitzis. What I noticed is that the latin word clearly reads iacinctinas for Techeiles, and almost in a mocking manner, the marginalia for THAT specific page shows the letter E wrapped in what appears to be a hyacinth flower!
It’s well known that Techeiles translated as Iakinthos in Greek and the Latin derivative would be iacinctinas. Someone no less than R’ Yitzchak HaLevi Herzog explored the Iakinthos references to flower, fabric or stone.
